Protect Your Home

Document Any Damage

In the event of a flood, we recommend that you document the damage to your home. List the damage and take photos or video so that you will have a complete and thorough record. Good records are needed for insurance claims, applications for disaster assistance, and income tax deductions.

The American Red Cross and FEMA have produced a helpful booklet called “Repairing Your Flooded Home.” Download it here.
